The most simple ways to practice Meditation to boost productivity 

A little five minutes on a daily basis can make a difference in your life, take out five minutes every day to practice meditation. Allow yourself to be in the moment, observe your breath focus on the sensations. 

Sit comfortably. Close your eyes. Now take natural, even breaths. While you’re breathing in, count one, when you breathe out, count two. Once you get up to the count of 10, start over at one, clear your mind, calm yourself. You can even enchant ‘OM’ while doing meditation. Pranayama is one more technique that helps you bring peace & calm in day to day life.

Pranayama: The fourth of the classical eight limbs of yoga, pranayama (prah-nah-YAH-mah) refers to yogic breath-regulation exercises. “Prana” is the vital life force that sustains all of creation (known as “chi,” “ki,” or “qi in other Eastern traditions).

When it feels like things aren’t manageable, focus on breathing & let it be enough. Pranayama is the most ancient & much effective technique for controlled breathing and to manage stress and there will be an increase in productivity and a change in day-to-day life. Let the breath be the vessel to carry through the day ahead with the help of Pranayama. When we breathe deeply it will lower the stress in the body and sends a message to the brain to relax & calm yourself. It’s been said that “Breathwork is your anchor, conscious breathing cultivates a resilient aura. When you feel anxious, scared or uncertain learn to stay within the breath”. Every time you feel pushed & chose to respond instead of reacting, you will be rewiring your brain & your highest self. So stay in the present instead of retreating.

Nostril Breathing: Nadi Shodhana Pranayama

Nadi Shodhana Pranayama (NAH-dee shoh-DAH-nuh prah-nah-YAH-mah) — literally “channel clearing” — is purifying pranayama that alternates the blockage of each nostril to channel air in a concentrated flow. It balances the nadis, or channels of energy in the body, activating and harmonizing the left and right hemispheres of the brain to ease stress and anxiety.

  > Make yourself comfortable with Sukhasana, 

  > Close the right nostrils with the right thumb, inhale deeply with the left nostrils, concentrate on your breathing, make it longer & can even count till 4 while you’re inhaling, hold it for a couple for seconds & count till 4 while exhaling

  > Close the left nostril with the ring finger of your right hand as you release the right nostril, exhale slowly with right nostrils, concentrate on your breathing, make it longer & can even count till 4 while you’re inhaling, hold it for couple for seconds & count till 4 while exhaling and repeat the above process & you will feel the difference in a few minutes. Can repeat this ten times, don’t stress yourself.

Consult the yoga guru for the proper pranayama technique for breathing exercises instead of doing it by yourself. Set an intention before starting any exercise, practice is the key weapon, peace is the ultimate goal in meditation which is the ultimate path of spirituality and devotion to finding one’s soul.
